Injury Accident Reported Sunday Near Wymore

An injury accident was reported early Sunday morning, around 5 a.m. west of Wymore at South 23rd and Pine Road. Kandi Fulmer, age 30, of Wymore lost control, and her vehicle went off the road, and overturned. A passenger Derrie Seeman, age 32, of Wymore was trapped inside the vehicle. Both occupants were injured, with one taken by airlift to a Lincoln hospital, the other transported to ... Rare Nebraska Earthquake Strikes Near Wymore

A small earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale was detected late Sunday evening, just before midnight, centered six and a half miles southeast of Wymore. United States Geological Survey measured the tremor at a depth of just over three miles. Beatrice Communications received some 30 reports from the public in the Wymore area who felt the quake. Lightning early last Thursday morning has been ruled as the cause of a house fire about 1 1/2 miles southwest of Wymore. Blue Springs Brawl Sends 2 To Beatrice Hospital

Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Wymore and Beatrice Rescue workers were called to a 5 person brawl in Blue Springs early Sunday morning. Ambulances transported 23 year old Holly Mick of Wymore and 23 year old Adrian Hourigan of Axtell to Beatrice Community Hospital for injuries sustained from the fight. Trevor M. Hurley of Wymore was arrested for third degree domestic assault, terroristic threats and negligent child abuse following an alleged assault on a woman Tuesday morning. The Gage County Board of Supervisors chose Simons Contracting to begin replacing a deteriorating bridge in Wymore Wednesday morning. Simons, with a Nebraska office based in North Platte, was awarded the contract for $1,238,871. The bridge crosses Indian Creek on 51st Road southeast of Wymore. Wymore honored a fallen firefighter Saturday during the annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service, typically held in Kearney, but moved to Wymore this year, the 5 year anniversary of the death of Wymore volunteer fireman Jeremy Wach.  Wach entered a burning home in November of 2007, thinking there were people trapped inside.  Wach never came back out.  The service featured speeches ...
