KHP Thanksgiving Weekend numbers up from last year

The Kansas Highway Patrol is releasing its Thanksgiving weekend holiday activity. The reporting period for the holiday weekend ran from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 25. The Marysville Fire Department responded to a house fire at 900 Carolina early Sunday morning. “Curtains!” presented by MACT over the weekend.

Suspicious Activity in Washington

Someone was apparently shaking door knobs in the City of Washington overnight Thursday.  Washington County Sheriff Bill Dickson told KNDY that they received multiple reports of someone trying to open doors, supposedly to gain entry to homes.  Dickson reported that no homes were entered and nothing was reported to be stolen.  Washington County Deputies did spend extra time in the ... Runaway Teenager Is Safe

A runaway teenager from rural Onaga has been located.  The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat says 14-year-old Corey Troxel was located safe over the weekend, and returned to his residence Sunday evening.  He had been reported missing Friday afternoon. Read More »
