Frankfort man arrested, hit and run in Washington County

A Frankfort man was arrested last Thursday by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Jeremiah D. Arnold, age 32, was also arrested for driving with a suspended license. He remains in custody. Washington County Hospital projects passes

Area Schools receive Physical Education Grant

Schools in Washington, Marshall, and Nemaha Counties have teamed up to secure a grant from the Carol M. White Physical Education Program.  The grant is worth $830,000!  It will involve the schools of Valley Heights, Washington County, Nemaha Valley, Axtell/Summerfield, and Wetmore schools.  This was the only grant funded for this year in the State of Kansas.  The money will ...
