Gage County Board Approves 2.66% Pay Increase For Elected Officials

An annual increase in salary averaging 2.66% for all Gage County elected officials, and their deputies through 2018 was adopted by the board of supervisors. An amendment to hold county supervisor pay at no increase failed on a 3-4 vote. The increase was a negotiated compromise that followed discussion after an initial proposal drew resistance. Water and sewer rate increases were discussed at Mondays Marysville City Council meeting.  The council voted down a request by council-members Vicky Gross and Dennis Schroller that would have waived two remaining years of water rate increases planned.
