Bald Eagle found shot East of Beatrice

A bald eagle was found dead about 5 miles east of Highway 77 near Beatrice in mid February.  Federal authorities are investigating the death.  It appears the eagle was shot with a rifle. No More Warnings For Not Wearing A Seatbelt in Kansas

TOPEKA – Beginning June 30, 2010, citations for non-seat-belt use will be issued, ending the warning period for the new primary seat belt law, which went into effect June 10. Bern woman crashes attempting to outrun police

A Bern woman was injured on a Nemaha County road while being pursued by a law enforcement officer for a traffic violation.
