Hanover Cemetery Continues “Righting” a “Wrong”

Hanover Cemetery was the victim of vandals in February. Approximately 25 grave stones were pushed over during the night of February 18th. The majority of the vandalized stones were in the southeast corner of the cemetery. Grocery Store Victim of Burglary

Haverkamp Grocery in Centralia was the site of a burglary sometime between 3:30 p.m. on December 26th and 7 a.m. on December 27th. Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the break-in and theft of an undisclosed amount of cash. The Sheriff’s department reported that the building was also damaged. Read More »

A fire broke out SKF Sealing Solutions in Seneca Thursday evening. The Seneca Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call of a fire at SKF Sealing Solutions located in the northeast part of town around 9 p.m. According to Seneca Fire Chief Brian Ruske the fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries. Wymore man arrested for assault using a tire iron

On Thursday a Wymore man was arrested for second degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.  Kenneth Rainey, 34 was arrested by the Wymore Police Department.  According to court documents, Rainey pulled a tire iron from the bed of his pickup and allegedly threatened the victim.   The victim continued walking toward Fifth and H Street.
