Seventh Street Corridor Project Meeting Produces Positive Results

A crowd of nearly fifty people attended a meeting Monday evening at the Marysville City Building to discuss the Seventh Street corridor project. Beatrice Plans to Complete Bike Trail to Lincoln this Summer

Beatrice City Administrator, Neal Niedfelt said work will start on a ten mile trail segment of the Homestead Trail which will eventually reach from Lincoln, Nebraska to Marysville, KS. In 2008 Beatrice received a grant for 493,000 dollars from the federal Transportation Enhancement Program. Beatrice will pay twenty percent of the cost through in-kind services.
