Washington County authorities are asking the public for any details related to a fire at the recycling trailer in Linn on March 24th. Fatality Accident Reported In Washington County Tuesday

WASHINGTON, KAN. – A tractor-trailer accident along US Highway 36 Tuesday near Washington left a 65-year-old Hanover man dead. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Larry Roger Mueller was traveling east on US Highway 36 following farming machinery, when a tractor-trailer attempted to pass his truck. Camper Trailer destroyed in fire near Beatrice Wednesday

Beatrice Rural Fire Department was called to a camper trailer fire on West Belvidere Road last Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm.  When they arrived, they found the camper totally engulfed.  They were able to put the fire out and also worked to prevent a grain bin nearby from catching fire.  No one was injured in the incident. Sheriff Searching for Stolen Farm Equipment

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating more than $30,000 worth of stolen farm equipment, including a John Deere tractor. Sheriff Greg Riat issue a news release Tuesday stating a 2009 John Deere 4520 tractor with front loader, black Bohnert 18-foot flatbed trailer and grass seeder was stolen from the Manhattan area. Thursday the Linn Fire Department was dispatched to 711 South Horizon Linn for a fire. On Friday on K 15 between Linn & Palmer the Linn & Palmer Fire Departments were dispatched for a trailer on fire.  No additional information was available at this time. 5 other grass fires were also reported in Washington County during the last week. Cows Killed In Train Trailer Collision
