Washington County residents are cleaning up and officials are assessing damage Thursday morning after storms crossed much of the county Wednesday night. Seneca Woman Enters Guilty Plea In Lortscher Agri Service Embezzlement Case


A guilty plea by a Seneca woman, Elizabeth Schraad, was entered Thursday in Nemaha County District Court. A charge of making false information was dismissed, with the plea to charges of felony theft by deception. Snipe Creek Bridge Project Completed; Highway K-99 Reopens


The Snipe Creek Bridge on Highway K-99 north of Frankfort has been reopened for traffic. Final pavement markings, and guard rail installation were completed Wednesday, with traffic controls removed Thursday morning. Remaining finish work, which includes seeding, will be completed in the spring.
