KU Softball Announces Captains for 2016

As Kansas softball nears first pitch of the 2016 campaign, the Jayhawk coaching staff announced who will lead KU on and off the field. Head coach Megan Smith and her staff selected seniors Chaley Brickey, Briana Evans and Kylee Kennedy, redshirt sophomore Harli Ridling and sophomore Jessie Roane as the captains for the upcoming season.

Kansas Completes Spooky Triathlon, Fall Practice

Kansas softball wrapped up a successful October with a fun-filled week highlighted by the annual Spooky Triathlon. After a month of team practices and a perfect 8-0 fall slate, the Jayhawks spent the week bonding as a team with several friendly competitions, including intra-squad scrimmages, pumpkin carving, a spooky triathlon and an alumni game.

Big 12 Softball Championship Returns in 2017

The Big 12 Conference has announced it will reinstate its softball championship beginning with the 2017 season. Last held in 2010, the postseason tournament will return to Oklahoma City in a two-day event, May 12 - 13. The Oklahoma City All Sports Association will partner with the Conference to host the championship.
