Prairie Hills Superintendent Resigns

Prairie Hills USD 113 at a special board meeting accepted the resignation of Superintendent Bill Orth effective May 1st. No reason was given, and he was appointed Coordinator of Transition Services. Dr. Velora Hanzlick was appointed Interim Superintendent for USD 113. The board also recently accepted the resignation of Gena Fritz, music teacher at Summerfield and Axtell.

USD 364 Board officially accepts Thexton’s resignation

The USD 364 Board of Education held a special board meeting Wednesday night to officially accept Superintendent Khris Thexton’s resignation. Also accepted was the resignation of 2nd grade teacher Shawnae Rempe. In their regular board meeting held last Wednesday, the board entered into a three year purchase and lease agreement for 230 laptops just over $68,600, and purchased 25 staff desktops/monitors for …

Gage County Highway and Weed Superintendents Resign

The Beatrice Daily Sun reports the Gage County Board of Supervisors held a special meeting Wednesday afternoon and accepted the resignation of Highway Superintendent Marlin Kliewer and Weed Superintendent Emily Rosenthal. The resignations were effective August 31st. Both Kliewer and Rosenthal were suspended with pay on Aug. 1 amid allegations of discrimination from within the highway department.
