The house had been damaged by fire twice in December, initially with what was believed to be an electrical fire December 15 that rekindled overnight. Teen arrested for entering a home in Centralia

Cassandra Rosine, age 18 of Centralia, was arrested by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office on Monday on charges stemming from a report on December 15, 2012, alleging an individual entered a Centralia residence and removed items from the residence. Fairbury Woman Sentenced for Murder

A Fairbury woman was sentenced to life in prison for killing her husband.  Laura DeJong was sentenced by District Judge Paul Korslund on Thursday in Jefferson County District Court.
