A Fairbury woman was sentenced to life in prison for killing her husband. Laura DeJong was sentenced by District Judge Paul Korslund on Thursday in Jefferson County District Court. Brian Daubendiek, 24, was arrested Sunday for operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and obstructing a police officer.
