NEK-CAP Receives Grant Funding To Expand Services

Northeast Kansas Community Action (NEK CAP) has received grant funding that will allow expansion of services in several counties, including Washington, Republic, Jewell, Smith, Mitchell and Osborne. A series of local focus groups will meet in July to help determine needs and priorities. A meeting is planned in Washington on July 11th, noon at Mayberry’s.

Overbeck Funeral Monday

The funeral for Washington County Sheriff Bill Overbeck will take place this coming Monday at 10:00-AM at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover.
