KDOT Program Will Reduce Number Of Deficient Bridges On Local Road Systems

A Kansas Department of Transportation program designed to reduce the number of deficient bridges on local road systems will also benefit the state’s agriculture industry. Centralia Schools Close Panther Daycare

The Centralia School closed the Panther Daycare June 1st. The public facility had served some 33 children, but state regulations had complicated the budget and restricted staffing. Decreasing enrollment, higher rent, and other costs led to the decision to suspend the two year old program.

The Summerfield Fire Department will be presented with a check for $2,500 from America’s Farmers Grow Communities, on behalf of local farmer Don Mathewson, who was selected by the Monsanto Foundation.
