Bond Set For Beatrice Men In Connection To Casey’s General Store Break-In

A $10,000 bond has been set for two men in Beatrice, after they broke a door at Casey’s Convenience Store and stole cigarettes. Nineteen-year-old Thoren H. Franzen, and 18-year-old Dakota B. Saul were taken into custody Thursday afternoon. Police had begun an investigation into the break-in that occurred around 1 am.

Law enforcement personnel are looking for a man impersonating a police officer. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office put out a notice today to be on the lookout for 45-year-old Robert Wayne Helms of Pittsburg, who could be connected to up to 25 cases of impersonating a police officer, and trying to cash fake checks. Trevor M. Hurley of Wymore was arrested for third degree domestic assault, terroristic threats and negligent child abuse following an alleged assault on a woman Tuesday morning. Man Killed During Pursuit

One man died in a police pursuit of a pickup on Monday.  The pursuit occurred approximately 11:35 p.m. near Pawnee City.
