USD 115 Searching for a New Name

The USD 115 temporary board of education met Monday.  They approved having each building administrator in Nemaha Valley USD 442 and B & B USD 451 chose a person to serve on the committee to select the new name for USD 115. Superintendent Darrel Kohlman said the committee will present their recommendations during the board’s next meeting on January 17th.

Brown County Sheriff seeks public’s help to find suspicious person.

The Brown County Sheriff’s office is asking for information from the public on an individual seen inside a stolen car parked along a road in the southern portion of the county. Wymore Police investigating three home break-ins

Four theft cases are currently being investigated by the Wymore Police. Beatrice woman injured in rollover accident

Two arrested for salvage yard theft

Two Fairbury men were arrested Monday after attempting to sell stolen equipment.  Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received information related to a possible burglary at the salvage yard at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday.  Officers were given information about a person trying to sell two trucks and two John Deere tractors to the Dorchester salvage yard.  The items were an exact ...

Marysville loses Public Works Director and Council person.

Marysville no longer has a public works director.  Jim Mueller resigned his position at the September 13th Council Meeting.  Mueller had served as the Public Works Director since 2003.  Ward 4 City Council member Carol Phillips also resigned.  The council will begin a search to fill her position.
