Man found dead in Nemaha County

The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of Wendell “Bunk” McLaughlin, age 77, of rural Corning on late Sunday evening.  The reports states that officers responded to a missing person report in southern Nemaha County, where family members said they were unable to find him.  After a short search, they found McLaughlin dead.  No other information was given in the report. Law Enforcement Looking For Man Impersonating A Cop

Law enforcement personnel are looking for a man impersonating a police officer. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office put out a notice today to be on the lookout for 45-year-old Robert Wayne Helms of Pittsburg, who could be connected to up to 25 cases of impersonating a police officer, and trying to cash fake checks. Blue Springs Brawl Sends 2 To Beatrice Hospital

Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Wymore and Beatrice Rescue workers were called to a 5 person brawl in Blue Springs early Sunday morning. Ambulances transported 23 year old Holly Mick of Wymore and 23 year old Adrian Hourigan of Axtell to Beatrice Community Hospital for injuries sustained from the fight. Nemaha County Sheriff Investigating Thefts

Several thefts were reported by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department. Sometime between 11 p.m. on August 23rd and 1 p.m. on August 24th an unknown person cut the lock to a storage unit at 892 US Hwy 36 and removed two dirt bikes.  Approximate value of loss is $515.
