NEK-CAP Receives $1.2 Million Subsidy For Low Income Residents

NEK-CAP of Northeast Kansas was among ten recipients of $1.2 million in rental subsidy and utility assistance for low income residents, in a recent grant announcement from the Kansas Housing Resource Corporation. $75,000 was awarded, and will be available to assist those in a 7 county area, including Marshall and Nemaha counties. RSVP of Northeast Kansas will sponsor their annual soup day on Thursday, October 11, 2012  Serving from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, 405 North 4th Street in Marysville.  Available soups are:  Chili, Chicken Noodle, and Vegetable Beef Soup, as well as ham salad sandwiches and Sloppy Joes.  A variety of homemade desserts will be available.
