Washington County School District hired a new football coach at their last meeting on March 11. Daniel Vaughn of Elkhart was hired to replace Phil Wilson, who will stay on as high school principal. New Pre-k Thru 4th Grade School Planned in Axtell

A committee has recommended that a new elementary school building be built in Axtell for pre-kindergarten thru 4th grade.  The USD 113 Board of Education has already planned to close the elementary school in Summerfield at the end of the current school year.  The Board will have the architectural firm Hansen and Associates work with the building committee on designs. New Beatrice High School Stadium Approved

?The Beatrice Public School Board has approved the funding for a new 3,600 seat stadium, all purpose Ram Turf field and eight lane 400 meter track at the Beatrice High School.
