Seneca Juvenille Arrested for Discharging Firearm

17-year-old Dillian Kaster of Seneca was arrested Friday on charges of driving under the influence, transporting an open container, minor in possession, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, criminal discharge of a firearm and reckless driving. Second Suspect Arrested in Bern School Burglary

The Nemaha County Sheriff‘s Department has arrested 30-year-old Brandon Frye of Oneida Friday on a Nemaha County warrant charging him with burglary, theft and criminal damage to property. Nemaha County Sheriff Recovers Stolen School Property

Nemaha County Sheriff Rich Vernon announced that the Department identified 2 suspects in a burglary case that occurred on June 21st at an area school. Sheriff Vernon announced that Dylan Barrett of Oneida, KS has been arrested for the Burglary. A second suspect is currently being sought. Property Thefts Continue to Plague Northeast Kansas

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department has seen an increasing trend in property thefts over the course of the last year. According to Sheriff Hargrave the thefts over the last year have been spread across the county, touching all four corners. Motorcycle Accident Sends Man to Hospital

A motorcycle accident around noon on Sunday sent a Seneca man to the hospital. The Nemaha County Sheriff‘s office says 38-year-old Jimmy Griffith was traveling south on J Road, a ¼ mile north of 136th Road, when he lost control of his motorcycle and left the roadway. Three Sabetha teens were injured last Thursday in a single-vehicle accident on a Nemaha County road. Marshall County has the highest unemployment rate in the KNDY listening area with 5.5 percent according to the Kansas Department of Labor’s Report on January Unemployment. Nemaha County Board Willing to Help Centralia Re-establish EMS Service
