Area High School Graduations Scheduled For This Weekend

The graduating class of 2014 will mark commencement exercises this weekend across the area. A total of 295 graduates are expected to earn their high school diplomas. Baileyville B&B and Nemaha Valley High Schools will mark their final graduating classes before merging into Nemaha Central next school year. USD 115 determining when changes should be made.

Nemaha Central, USD 115 will consider at their December meeting a proposal to close the St. Benedict Elementary facility after the 2013 school year. Meetings with school officials and the public were held, and the board reviewed the initial draft at a recent meeting.
