June 13th through June 23rd Pony Express riders will carry the mail from Sacramento, Calf. to St. Joseph, Mo., a distance of 1966 miles.  The carriers will ride day and night. On Monday, a 2.146 million dollar resurfacing project began on a 28-mile stretch of K-99 from the north city limits of Frankfort to the Kansas/Nebraska state line and on K-9 from the K-88 junction to the K-99 junction north of Frankfort in Marshall County.
