A rural Beatrice man was found under the wheel of a tractor. Chuck Benash, 55, was pinned underneath the left rear wheel of a tractor south of his home Monday morning. The Gage County Sheriff’s Office reported Benash was last seen operating the tractor at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday. Investigators believe Benash got off the tractor for an unknown reason. ... State Delays Public School Payments Again
It sounds very familiar… the State of Kansas has delayed some of its monthly aid payments to public schools. The delinquent March payment makes it the 6th consecutive month all or some of the state payment had been delayed. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, Norris Public Power District has around 2,500 customers without power due to the winter storm that has hit the area.
