Axtell Home Destroyed by Fire

Fire destroyed an Axtell home on Monday.  An Axtell Fire spokesperson reports that the Axtell, Beattie and Oketo fire departments were called to a house on fire at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon.  The house belongs to Fred Feldkamp of Axtell.  Feldkamp was in the house at the time of the fire and was the person who called the fire ... City Council Extends Fireworks Hours

On Monday Marysville City Council approved a change in the use of fireworks within city limits. The council approved extending the hours that fireworks can legally be set off on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to Midnight. Read More »

Accident sends Washington man to hospital

A Washington man was taken to the hospital after losing control of his vehicle.  On Monday Cheyenne Williams of Washington was driving westbound on 29th Road, when he lost control of his vehicle and went through a fence.  Williams was taken by a private vehicle to Jefferson County Hospital.
