Fatality Accident in Washington County

A Morrowville Man was killed in a two vehicle accident on Monday afternoon.  Cecil R. Grover, age 62, of Morrowville was driving a pickup eastbound on 25th Road.  Grover entered the intersection with Gypsum Road and his vehicle was struck by a truck driven by Donald R. Gage County Sheriff’s report a Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a felon in possession of firearms on Monday. The tip led deputies and Wymore Police to Wesley P. Axtell Home Destroyed by Fire

City Council Extends Fireworks Hours

On Monday Marysville City Council approved a change in the use of fireworks within city limits. The council approved extending the hours that fireworks can legally be set off on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to Midnight. Read More »

Accident sends Washington man to hospital

A Washington man was taken to the hospital after losing control of his vehicle.  On Monday Cheyenne Williams of Washington was driving westbound on 29th Road, when he lost control of his vehicle and went through a fence.  Williams was taken by a private vehicle to Jefferson County Hospital.
