Marysville hosts Historic Trails Symposium

The Historic Trails Capitol of Kansas Symposium will be Oct. 8th through the 10th at the National Guard Armory in Marysville. The event is sponsored by the Oregon-California Trails Association and is expected to bring scholars, history buffs and tourists to Marysville. Three vehicle accident at the intersection of 11th Road and Highway 36

Marysville loses Public Works Director and Council person.

Marysville no longer has a public works director.  Jim Mueller resigned his position at the September 13th Council Meeting.  Mueller had served as the Public Works Director since 2003.  Ward 4 City Council member Carol Phillips also resigned.  The council will begin a search to fill her position. Four area schools announced Homecoming Kings and Queens

Friday night football included homecoming for four area schools.  During the Marysville Homecoming game half-time activities at Friday night’s football game Leah Oehm and Isaac Busch were crowned the new 2010 Homecoming king and queen.  The Bulldogs defeated Chapman 34 to 20, giving them a record of 2 wins and 1 loss.  The Bulldogs will take on Clay Center this ... Marysville man found guilty of attempted murder

Douglas Kling of Marysville was found guilty Wednesday afternoon of five counts related to the 2009 stabbing of his wife. A 12-person jury deliberated only 15 minutes before unanimously convicting Kling of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated assault and criminal threat.
