Nelms Eliminated from Mayoral Race

Micheal Nelms was eliminated from the Marysville Mayoral Race in the results of Tuesday’s primary. The unofficial results show Current Councilman Bill Phillipi with 279 votes, Current Mayor Bernie Krug with 153 votes, Tim Jones received 53 votes and Micheal Nelms received 29 votes. Gas Exceeds $3.35 Per Gallon

The price of unleaded gas in Marysville increased from $3.09.9 to $3.35.9 in just 14 days. Casey’s store manager said it is hard on her employees who face the brunt of the customer’s frustration. Downtown Rail Bed Project Placed On Hold

Marshall County Fire Trucks Respond to a Call of a Vehicle on Fire

Marshall County Fire Chief Dave Richardson reported that fire units responded to 1010 North Street in Marysville for a report of a car on fire.  Upon arrival they located a small fire in the engine compartment of an SUV.  The fire was caused by leaves next to a heater core.  Chief Richardson reported the damage to the car was minimal.
