Ricky Hu Runner Up In Kansas State Spelling Bee

A Marysville boy, Ricky Hu, was runner up in the Kansas State Spelling Bee, held Saturday in Topeka. The field was narrowed to two spellers in round 20, when Hu misspelled passel. Ricky Hu Wins Marshall County Spelling Bee

Marshall County Spelling Bee was held Saturday. Ricky Hu, a sixth grader at Marysville Elementary won the contest for a second year, missing only 1 of 40 words. The Marysville Parent Teacher Organization is having a food drive this week, collecting nonperishable food items to donate to the local food pantry.
