Former Marshall County Attorney Brian Carroll entered a plea of “No Contest” to a single count of theft at the preliminary hearing on Tuesday. Area farmers are still waiting for corn to dry out. Lyle Brooks, Branch Manager for Beattie Co-op in Beattie reports that only a few corn and soybean deliveries have been made to the Co-op. Former Marshall County Attorney Brian Carroll is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Court October 11th. Carroll did not enter a plea at the most recent hearing, leading District Judge Jack Murphy to schedule the preliminary hearing.
