Voter Turnout Very Low in the Area

Voter turnout for the City and School elections around the area were very low, but about what was anticipated. Marshall County had the highest percentage of voter turnout with 26% while Nemaha County only had 1/2 of that at 13%. Washington County was in the middle at roughly 21%. Schedule Change for Commodity Distribution in Marshall County

Three Marshall County Men Arrested on Several Charges

On Wednesday, February 27, Washington County Sheriff’s officers and the Kansas Highway Patrol arrested three Marshall County men in Hanover. No Major Accidents Reported in Marshall County During Storm

There were no major accidents reported during the snowstorm Thursday in Marshall County. Two accidents did occur, one just west of Home City on Highway 36, however no major injuries were reported.
