Washington County Fair contines.

Governor Reorganizes State Ag Department

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback signed an executive order this week that consolidates the functions of the State Agriculture Agencies. Brownback’s move creates within the Ag Department the Animal Health Division which will now include the Animal Health Department and the Livestock Commissioner. Mule possibly killed by pack of coyotes

On 11/03/2010 the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to an animal complaint at 10964 W. Scott Rd. USDA to Send FSA Offices Info on Livestock Loss

The local Farm Services Agencies are anxiously awaiting information from the Department of Agriculture in regard to helping producers who have recently sustained livestock losses due to adverse weather.
