NE Dept. of Environmental Quality Announcement

Livestock producers with Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality livestock waste control facility permits received or renewed since April 1998 must be certified. Land application training will be available January 27th or February 2nd at the Gage County Extension office in Beatrice. Pre-registration is required. The Farm Service Agency is reporting that a general signup is anticipated in late summer in the 2010 Conservation Reserve Program. Consequently, producers with expiring CRP contracts may want to apply for the General Signup to determine whether the existing CRP can be re-enrolled.
