Washington County Hospital Administrator Retiring

Longtime Washington County Hospital Administrator Everett Lutjemeier is retiring on July 1st. Lutjemeier served as administrator for 20 years. A retirement party honoring Lutjemeier will be held in the basement of the Firest National Bank on Thursday, June 30th from 4 to 6 P.M. Flooding Possible With Tuttle Creek Outflow Reduction

MANHATTAN, Kan.– The Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reducing releases from Tuttle Creek Lake due to high water levels and flooding conditions on the Missouri River. Date Changes For Local Events Made

Several traditional June Events have been postponed until later in the summer. The Frankfort Summerfest will take place on July 2nd, to coincide with the opening of the new Frankfort Swimming Pool. Jury Selection Begins for Attempted Murder Trial.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Tuesday for the trial for Stephen Macomber, a Topeka man charged in the attempted murder of a Marshall County Sheriff‘s deputy.
