Washington hires new City Administrator

Carl Chalfant has been hired as the new Washington City Administrator and will begin his duties on July 8. He is currently the city administrator for the city of McClouth, which he has been since 2007, prior to that he was city superintendent for the city of McClouth from 1990-2007. Auditions for Summer Musical are June 2 and 3

Former Marysville resident pleads guilty to embezzling more than $500,000

Former Marysville resident, Larry Lord, age 63, pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $500,000 from the commercial construction company, Cheney Construction, Inc. in Manhattan that he worked for from 1995 to 2012.
