Diller Opera House renovations complete

The Diller Opera House Committee has completed it’s $50,000 renovation of the social hall.  Improvements included removing old plaster on the walls to expose the brick, new lighting, polishing of the concrete floors, an archway was added, and the bathrooms were redone.  An air conditioning unit and central heating unit were added as well.  The opera house is rented out ... Blue Springs Man Arrested For Threatening to Kill

  A Blue Springs man was arrested Thursday night for allegedly threatening to kill a man. According to the Gage County Sheriff’s department deputies responded to 225 E. South St. in Blue Springs where a man was allegedly refusing to leave. Axtell Home Destroyed by Fire

Fire destroyed an Axtell home on Monday.  An Axtell Fire spokesperson reports that the Axtell, Beattie and Oketo fire departments were called to a house on fire at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon.  The house belongs to Fred Feldkamp of Axtell.  Feldkamp was in the house at the time of the fire and was the person who called the fire ... Gage County Deputies Chase Stolen Car

On Monday, September 26, deputies of the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to Blue Springs. The reporting party advised that a black vehicle was tearing around by their house. One Killed, Two Injured in Blue Springs Fire

One person was killed and two injured by a fire in Blue Springs on Monday.  At approximately 8:30 A.M. Fire damages house in Marysville

The Marshall County Fire Department responded to a house fire in Northeast Marysville on Tuesday evening.  According to Fire Chief Richardson three trucks and 28 firefighters responded to 611 North 18th for a report of heavy smoke in the house.  Richardson said when firefighters arrived they found dense smoke on the main floor and flames in the basement.  The cause ...
