The Marysville Fire Department answered a call Monday morning at 16th and Pheasant Roads. A trailer house being moved had slid into the ditch. While work was being done to move it, the trailer house accidentally caught fire, destroying it.

A fire in Blue Springs early Monday afternoon destroyed a residence at 121 West Irving. The house had been damaged by fire twice in December, initially with what was believed to be an electrical fire December 15 that rekindled overnight. Waterville Opera House and Koester Museum receive Grants for repairs

The Waterville Opera House and the Koester House Museum in Marysville received news that they will each receive almost $90,000 through the Kansas Heritage Trust Fund Grants.  Both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
