Hearing for Alleged Murderer Postponed

The hearing for 23-year-old Amanda Marina Baynton, was continued to September 1st due to scheduling issues involving court personnel. Baynton was arrested and charged with murder after police found 24-year-old Derek Baynton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the couple‘s home in the 600 block of Walnut Street. Christopher A. Clayton, 26, of Beatrice was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly stabbing a man during a fight.
