U S Highway 36 to hold annual meeting Friday

Bridges to be dedicated Monday

Highway 77 Road Work delayed to this week

Due to weather delays last week, the U.S. 77 resurfacing project did not begin work until Monday, May 6. Crews are beginning resurfacing work in the middle of the nearly 12-mile project and moving north to the Kansas/Nebraska state line then heading back south. Read More »

Section of Highway 36 to have Crack Repair done

The Kansas Department of Transportation announced approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas at a letting that took place on March 20 in Topeka. No major accidents reported in Marshall County during storm

There were no major accidents reported during the snowstorm Thursday in Marshall County. Two accidents did occur, one just west of Home City on Highway 36, however no major injuries were reported. Marysville reported about 5.5 inches of snow, that after forecasts earlier in the week were thinking we could see upwards of two feet!! Read More »

REMINDER: Highway 36 to be closed Monday into Tuesday

Highway sign replacement to begin soon

On Tuesday, January 22, a highway signing replacement project will begin covering U.S. 36 in Doniphan, Brown, Nemaha, and Marshall Counties, K-87 and K-178 in Nemaha County, and K-120 in Doniphan County. Highway 36 Treasure Hunt Reported as a Huge Success.

According to Vendors and Buyers the Highway 36 Treasure Hunt was a huge success.  Marysville boasted 66 garage sales and many other vendors who set up their displays along the Highway 36 corridor.  Washington County had over 30 garage sales listed and vendors filled the limestone barn at the fairgrounds.
