Marshall County Fire Departments were busy this past weekend with numerous grass fires and one structure fire. The Frankfort Fire Department was called out 9 times total Friday thru Sunday, 5 times Friday, once Saturday, and three times Sunday, all grass fires. Seven Fires In Washington County

Thursday the Linn Fire Department was dispatched to 711 South Horizon Linn for a fire. On Friday on K 15 between Linn & Palmer the Linn & Palmer Fire Departments were dispatched for a trailer on fire.  No additional information was available at this time. 5 other grass fires were also reported in Washington County during the last week.

Wymore Man Pleads Guilty to Arson

  A Wymore man has pleaded no contest to intentionally setting grass fires in rural southern Gage County.  Bryan Campbell was convicted of starting three fires on the evening of April 3rd.   The three charges did include third degree arson with damages amounting to more than $100.  In a plea agreement two of the charges were changed to damages …
