Local Resident Finds Armadillo Near Centralia

A rural Centralia resident recently found an Armadillo, which was apparently killed by the family dogs. Tom Holthaus reported the 18” critter to the game warden. Armadillos in recent years have continued a slow migration north.

The Clifton-Clyde Eagles football game against Independence Home School of Lawrence scheduled for Thursday in Clyde is cancelled by forfeit by Independence Home School. Independence Home School says that lack of players is the reason the game is cancelled and forfeited. Clifton-Clyde ends the regular season at 5-2, with a 4-2 district record.
