Homestead Days are currently underway in Beatrice.  Angie Bruna, event coordinator said nearly all the area hotels are full.    This year Homestead Days include a family bike riding event, which will be held Friday, features a trip from Chautauqua Park to Riverside Park and back. Bicycling Across Kansas

US 77 Closed on Friday

A runaway teenager from rural Onaga has been located.  The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat says 14-year-old Corey Troxel was located safe over the weekend, and returned to his residence Sunday evening.  He had been reported missing Friday afternoon. Read More »

A runaway teenager from rural Onaga has been located. The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat says 14-year-old Corey Troxel was located safe over the weekend, and returned to his residence Sunday evening.
