New Highway K-63 Bridge Open In Nemaha County

The new Highway K-63 Bridge over Wildcat Creek in Nemaha County opened to traffic last week. The stop signs on Highway K-178 at the County Road 176 intersection will be taken down Friday, which means Highway K-178 traffic will no longer stop at the intersection. Teen With Marshall County Ties Fatally Shot In Davenport, Iowa

An eighteen year old, with Marshall County ties, was fatally shot in Davenport, Iowa Friday morning. Thomas Nye Taylor, son of Todd Taylor, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Authorities termed it an isolated incident, and the person responsible for firing the weapon was interviewed. The investigation into the accident, which was reported around 4:30 a.m. Friday in Davenport remains under investigation. Graveside services were ...
