Road Construction Projects To Impact Area Highways

The Kansas Department of Transportation advises that Highway K-9 from Frankfort west remains closed following the train derailment Monday. It is hoped that it will reopen sometime Sunday, weather permitting, as work continues on cleanup and crossing replacement.

Frankfort Woman Sentenced To Federal Prison Term

According to U.S. Attorney Barry Grisomm, Monica Smart, 49 of Frankfort pled guilty to one count of mail fraud, and sentenced to 21 months in federal prison.
