Marshall County Fire Chief Dave Richardson reported that fire units responded to 1010 North Street in Marysville for a report of a car on fire. Upon arrival they located a small fire in the engine compartment of an SUV. The fire was caused by leaves next to a heater core. Chief Richardson reported the damage to the car was minimal. A rural Odell family’s house caught fire at approximately 9 p.m. on Christmas Day. Odell and Rural Beatrice Firefighters responded to a house fire about two and one half miles west of the Odell black top. A garage was engulfed in flames.
