Marshall County Fire Trucks Respond to a Call of a Vehicle on Fire

Marshall County Fire Chief Dave Richardson reported that fire units responded to 1010 North Street in Marysville for a report of a car on fire.  Upon arrival they located a small fire in the engine compartment of an SUV.  The fire was caused by leaves next to a heater core.  Chief Richardson reported the damage to the car was minimal. The Kansas Fire Marshall’s Office announced this week revisions that have been made to the Kansas Fire Prevention Code. Garage and Home Damaged by Fire on Christmas

A rural Odell family’s house caught fire at approximately 9 p.m. on Christmas Day.  Odell and Rural Beatrice Firefighters responded to a house fire about two and one half miles west of the Odell black top.  A garage was engulfed in flames.  Firefighters extinquished the flames but the fire did damage the interior of some of the homes rooms.  The ...
