Macomber Sentenced for Topeka Murder

Stephen A Macomber, age 44 of Topeka was sentenced Tuesday to more than 55 years after being convicted of fatally shooting another man on June 7th.  Shawnee County Judge Debenham sentenced Macomber to 54 years and five months for the murder conviction. A Topeka man convicted of wounding a Marshall County Sheriff‘s deputy and taking an elderly Blue Rapids woman hostage last June has been sentenced to nearly 83 ½ years in prison.
