Tractor Theft Reported Near Blue Rapids; Cars Stolen Near Home City

James E. Campbell of Marysville reported a farm tractor valued at $3,000 was stolen from the 1100 block of Kansas Highway 9 in Blue Rapids sometime in early April. Authorities also received a report that miscellaneous vehicles valued at $5,000 belonging to Darrel D. Disabling Injuries Reported In Train Collision

A train collided with a farm sprayer a mile west of Baileyville Friday morning. Bruce Buessing, 42, of Axtell was crossing the tracks on C Road; just north of U.S. Highway 36 in Nemaha County shortly before 8:30 a.m. Buessing suffered disabling injuries, and was transported to the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca. Work Begins On Wind Farm In Marshall County

Preliminary work has begun on a wind farm in northeast Marshall County. The $4.5 million project will include 30 turbines, generating 75 megawatts of power.
