Van crashes through front door of 12th St. Liquor

BJ Patel of Marysville drove through the front doors of 12th Street Liquor early Monday evening. According to the report from the Marysville Police Department, Patel was driving a 2011 Toyota Sienna van at about 6:20 Monday evening when he drove through the front doors, damaging the front door and walls of the building. Alcohol was a factor in the accident. Marysville Police are investigating two incidents of vandalism. Unknown people kicked open the concession stand door at the Legion Ball Field sometime between 8 p.m. Friday, August 31st and 8 a.m. September 1st.  The value of the door was reported to be $600.  No items were taken. Fire Damages Marysville Home

A house fire on Tuesday afternoon caused extensive damage to a two-story home at 900 Carolina.  According to Marysville Fireman Dennis Rockwell, Kandy Haverkamp came home, opened her front door and immediately smelled smoke.  She quickly closed the door and called 911.  Firefighters were controlling a burn at the waste water site and sent two trucks and fourteen firefighters to ... USD 115 Hires Certified and Office Staff

The Nemaha Central USD 115 temporary board of education has extended contract offers to certified staff for the 2011-2012 school year. Superintendent Darrel Kohlman said the action followed a closed door session during a special meeting Monday evening.  The board also approved the terms and conditions of employment for the teaching staff and hiring of the central office staff.
