Washington County Sheriff Reports 2 Structure Fires

On Monday August 15th the Washington Fire Department was dispatched to 1818 North D Street for a garage fire.  The garage belonged to Gary Owens.  Fire Chief Jerry Aldredge reports that the fire was most likely started by a lightning strike.  The garage and attached workshop were a total loss. Hanover Fire Department Responds to Barn Fire

On 042411 the Hanover & Barnes fire Departments were dispatched to the 2900 block of Hilltop Avenue for a barn fire. Washington County Man Arrested for Burglary

A Washington man was arrested on Saturday after officers were dispatched to 1541 22nd Road for the report of a burglary. Lucas Applegarth, Washington was held at the Washington County Jail until bond could be set by a judge. A report will be forwarded to the county attorney.
