Black Mold Found In Area Corn Fields

Saline County Nebraska extension educator Randy Pryor reports that black mold is appearing in corn fields throughout the Southeast Nebraska area.  Pryor said the black mold is an alternaria that has also been reported in dormant grasses. Farmers Waiting for Crops to Dry

Area farmers are still waiting for corn to dry out. Lyle Brooks, Branch Manager for Beattie Co-op in Beattie reports that only a few corn and soybean deliveries have been made to the Co-op. Nebraska crops show improvement over last year
