Carnival Rides return to Washington County Fair.

Washington County Fair is planning to bring back carnival rides at this year’s fair.  Leslie Gauby, President of the Fair Board confirmed that a contract has been signed with Moore’s Greater Shows from Lyford, Texas.  In order to secure the carnival Washington County has changed the dates of their fair to July 13th thru 17th.  According to an earlier interview ... Washington County Hospital proceeds with bond process.

Several weeks ago Big First District Kansas Congressman Jerry Moran asked the Department of Agriculture to extend some of the expiring 2009 Conservation Reserve Program Contracts. Moran got his wish this week.
