Baynton seeks to withdraw her plea

Amanda Baynton, sentenced to 15 years in prison for the June 2011 murder of her husband, Derek, has filed a motion seeking to withdraw her plea in the case, citing inadequate counsel by her defense attorney.  She pled no contest a year ago to charges of second degree murder and aggravated assault as part of her plea agreement. Hobbs pleads no contest in Nemaha County

David Hobbs of Seneca pleaded no contest in Nemaha County District Court to amended charges of indecent solicitation of a child. He had originally been charged with three child sex charges but entered into a plea agreement. Sentencing has been set for March 28 in Seneca. Read More »
